The Merlin Community Park in Southern Oregon was established in 1982, as a non-profit organization formed to develop recreational opportunities and community focus, particularly to the North County area. The picture above is the Picnic Area and Bar B Q Pits. The park and facilities are open to all citizens, visitors and tourists. The park is open from sunrise to sunset and overnight camping is not allowed. The Park Board, elected by the residents of the Park District, manage the Park with the help of volunteers and donations from the greater Rogue Valley.

The Merlin Community park is being developed into a multifaceted recreational site. One of the only recreational facilities in the North County, it is commonly used by local families and tourists. The Park is located on the Merlin Road at the junction of Acorn Dr. and is noticeable by its Veterans Park and flag which is up 24 hours a day
