• Palmerton Arboretum features fine collection of specimen trees and access to Evans Creek.
  
• The city's other parks - Coyote Evans, Fleming, and Anna Classick - have facilities for horseshoes, tennis, and boat ramps.
  
• Valley of the Rogue State Park (three miles away on Interstate 5) offers complete camping and RV facilities on the river.
  
• The Woodville Museum features a notable collection of pioneer artifacts. The old town jail has been rebuilt on the lawn behind the Museum.
  
• The National Rooster Crowing Contest has been held in Rogue River since 1953. Come around the last Saturday in June for an old-time small town parade and jamboree!
